FAQ

Will the bovine palpation competition still be happening this year, even though symposium is online?

Yes! We will be hosting the Bovine Palpation Competition. It will look a little bit different this year, but we are working hard on transitioning this into an online format, and are looking forward to making this a fun event. The exam portion of the competition will still be taking place as in previous years, but will be conducted in an online format.

One team per institution is allowed, with 4 members per team.  No individual entries were permitted this year, only team entries.

The final day to register for this competition was February 19, 2021.

When will registration open?

Registration is open and will remain open even after symposium is over! Sessions will be available through April 26th and registration will be open until then as well.

What are the registration fees?

Registration was $15 until March 7th, 2021. Your registration fee includes a swag bag that will be mailed to you! After March 7th, registration increases to $20, and will not include a swag bag.
*Swag bags are available for the first 1,000 registrants. All students who register by March 7th will receive a t-shirt.

How long will I have access to the Symposium material?

All the information posted to the Symposium platform will be available for 6 weeks after Symposium dates (until April 26th!). Live events will be recorded and available for viewing 24-48 hrs after the conclusion of the event.

What is the refund policy for registration?

There will be no refunds offered this year for Symposium registration fees.

Will you have closed captioning?

We will have closed captioning available at our Keynote Lunches, Live Social Events, Live Q&A’s, Opening Ceremonies, and Closing Ceremonies.

Some of our pre-recorded lectures have captions available, and are embedded in the video.

For other videos that we were not able to obtain captioning for, we requested that speakers put all of the information in text on the slide (rather than just a slide with an image).  Additionally, many lectures have an accompanying transcript or set of notes that will be attached to the session as a Handout, available for download.

Chrome Extension:  There is a Chrome Extension you can add to your browser to enable live closed captioning!  Please see the Help Desk within our virtual platform for a step by step process to set this feature up.
